That\u2019s as exhibitors and buyers do business, especially around pre-sales, from November 10 to 15 in and around the\u00a0Fairmont Century Plaza\u00a0and the nearby AMC Century City 15 multiplex.<\/p>\n<p> \tJackie Brenneman, IFTA\u2019s president and CEO, in a statement said of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/afm\/\" id=\"auto-tag_afm_1\" data-tag=\"afm\">AFM<\/a> 2026: \u201cOur business is at an inflection point, and we can\u2019t move forward by looking backward. We need to take a more deliberate approach and focus on creating new opportunities. That is\u00a0a central\u00a0role AFM plays.\u00a0The commitments\u00a0we\u2019re already seeing this year reflect the momentum building across the industry and points to what will be\u00a0not only my first AFM, but\u00a0also\u00a0one of the most dynamic and\u00a0defining\u00a0in recent years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> \tIn all, 90 exhibitors have already been confirmed as AFM looks to retain its status as the preeminent dealmaking hub for the international film and TV business.\u00a0Finance, production, sales and distribution companies\u00a0already booked into AFM 2026 include Lionsgate, Neon, AGC Studios,\u00a0Voltage Pictures, XYZ Films, A Higher Standard,\u00a0Anton,\u00a0Gaumont, Protagonist Pictures, Arclight Films, Beta Cinema and Blue Fox Entertainment,\u00a0among others.<\/p>\n<p> \tAs the indie business increasingly shifts beyond traditional big-budget actioners to high-concept genre plays, star-driven TV dramas and now bite-sized microdramas aimed at global cel phone users, AFM is looking to shape the next iterations of the media business, rather than follow it, Brennerman insisted. <\/p>\n<p> \t\u201cWith \u2018The New Global Screen Economy,\u2019 we are creating a framework for the full spectrum of the industry to come together, align, and\u00a0shape\u00a0what comes next,\u201d she added in his statement.<\/p>\n<p> \tBeyond the U.S. market, AFM is also looking to global players, especially from South Korea and European giants from Germany, Britain, France and Italy.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After the American Film Market was reborn last year in Century City, the world\u2019s leading indie movie bazaar has signaled its upcoming November market will refocus on how content is increasingly financed, produced and embraced by consumers across screens big and small during its upcoming 47th edition.
