\tThe team behind Channel 4 documentary Gaza<\/a>: Doctors Under Attack<\/em>, which the BBC had shelved, citing impartiality concerns, won an award at the BAFTA TV Awards<\/a> on Sunday and used their acceptance speech to criticize Israel and the BBC. <\/p>\n

\tBritish journalist Ramita Navai, the doc\u2019s reporter, and Ben De Pear, the program\u2019s executive producer and a former\u00a0Channel 4\u00a0News editor,\u00a0spoke out on the BAFTA stage, addressing the U.K. public broadcaster, after the doc won the current affairs BAFTA during the second half of Sunday\u2019s ceremony. \t<\/p>\n

\t\u201cThis award means so much to us,\u201d Navai said. \u201cIsrael has killed over 47,000 children and women in Gaza so far. Israel has \u2026 targeted every single one of Gaza\u2019s hospitals. It\u2019s killed over 1,700 Palestinian doctors and health care workers. It has imprisoned over 400 in what the UN now calls a \u2018medicide.\u2019 These are the findings of our investigation that the BBC paid for but refuses to show. But we refuse to be silenced and censored.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tDe Pear then took over, saying that the team behind the doc also wanted to dedicate the award to the two journalists on the ground \u201cwho made this film for us,\u201d adding: \u201cThey did so amongst the killing spree that killed over 250 of their colleagues, journalists in Gaza.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tHe ended with a direct question for the BBC, which is airing the BAFTA TV Awards<\/a> with a delay later on Sunday. \u201cFinally, just a question to the BBC,\u201d he said, looking into the camera. \u201cGiven you dropped our film, will you drop us from the BAFTAs screening later tonight?\u201d<\/p>\n

\tThe\u00a02026\u00a0BAFTA<\/a>\u00a0TV honors are being handed out at the Southbank Centre\u2019s Royal Festival Hall\u00a0in the British capital.\u00a0Netflix<\/a>\u00a0drama\u00a0\u601d\u6625\u671f<\/a><\/em>\u00a0led the\u00a0nominations with 11<\/a>, followed by Disney+\u2019s\u00a0\u5343\u306e\u6253\u6483<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>with seven. Comedian and\u00a0Taskmaster<\/em>\u00a0host\u00a0Greg Davies\u00a0<\/a>is hosting the awards ceremony.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
