Taylor Frankie Paul is set to return to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em> despite a tumultuous news cycle and some fallen friendships.<\/p>\n

After everything that the public has learned, Dakota Mortensen will not<\/a> be joining her.<\/p>\n

Thinking back on her relationship, she accuses him of gaslighting her \u2014 but still blames herself for not leaving him sooner.<\/p>\n

Her reflections are really resonating with commenters, many of whom find her story chillingly familiar to their own.<\/p>\n

\u2018You don\u2019t even realize \u2026 what\u2019s happening psychologically for a long time\u2019<\/h2>\n

In a lengthy \u30a4\u30f3\u30b9\u30bf\u30b0\u30e9\u30e0<\/a> post, Taylor says that she blames herself for not leaving her toxic and abusive relationship with Dakota Mortensen much sooner.<\/p>\n

She and Dakota share a child, 2-year-old Ever.<\/p>\n

Taylor admits to having kept quiet about many of her private struggles.<\/p>\n

This, she says, is how Dakota was able to take \u201cadvantage\u201d of her situation and continue to allegedly mistreat her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat people aren\u2019t understanding is you don\u2019t even realize you\u2019re in it and what\u2019s happening psychologically for a long time,\u201d Taylor wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou solely believe you\u2019re the only insane one,\u201d Taylor said, speaking from experience.<\/p>\n

She explained that this is \u201cbecause they twist everything that you eventually feel insane.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor went on to alleged that Dakota had been \u201cgaslighting\u201d her into staying with him.<\/p>\n

She expressed that it feels \u201ctwisted\u201d that this went on for so long, again blaming herself.<\/p>\n

Some folks use gaslighting<\/em> when they really mean lying<\/em>, particularly in a political sense. But actual gaslighting<\/a> can and does take place within abusive relationships.<\/p>\n

Eventually, of course, the relationship did end<\/h2>\n

Taylor wrote that, when she finally left Dakota, she was \u201cmanipulated,\u201d then \u201cthreatened,\u201d then \u201cphysically hurt.\u201d<\/p>\n

And that was not the end of it.<\/p>\n

She had the police called on her. A years-old video was released in an attempt to sabotage her relationship and personal success as The Bachelorette<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

She lost her friends. Her reality TV series went on hiatus for over a month.<\/p>\n

And Taylor has also ended up in court, fighting desperately for custody of Ever.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe difference between us, my love was real for him without gaining anything, and people know that,\u201d Taylor wrote about her ex.<\/p>\n

She admitted that she is \u201cnot sure it was the same in return.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor went on to characterize that she and Dakota are \u201cboth in the wrong\u201d in multiple ways, but she\u2019s calling him out for trying to take her child from her on top of everything else.<\/p>\n

She also addressed her recent rift with Mikayla Matthews<\/a>. And no, it isn\u2019t to apologize.<\/p>\n
