\tChris Hardwick<\/a> has returned to AMC<\/a> to host the video podcast I Think You\u2019re Overthinking It<\/em> for AMC+ as well as AMC Global Media\u2019s All Reality, FAST channels, YouTube and digital\/podcast platforms. The show will premiere on Sunday, May 31.<\/p>\n

\tHardwick hosted The Walking Dead<\/em> companion podcast Talking Dead<\/a><\/em> from its inception in October 2011 until it ended in November 2022 \u2014 with one very public monthlong hiatus. Hardwick was temporarily dropped as Talking Dead<\/em> host after abuse allegations surfaced in an\u00a0essay\u00a0<\/a>by his ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra. Following an investigation by AMC, during which Yvette Nicole Brown filled in as host, Hardwick (@midnight<\/em>) was reinstated. Dykstra did not participate in the AMC investigation. \t<\/p>\n

\tDykstra never directly identified Hardwick in her original essay, but she described being in a relationship with a high-profile man, alleging that during their relationship the man had sexually assaulted her, imposed restrictive rules on her and triggered an eating disorder.<\/p>\n

\tFollowing the allegations, Hardwick\u2019s name was removed from the Nerdist website he founded. After the AMC investigation, Hardwick\u2019s name was\u00a0reinstated to the Nerdist website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\tI Think You\u2019re Overthinking It<\/em>, which will tape its 12 hourlong episodes in Los Angeles, focuses on pop culture, movies, TV, music and comedy. Planned guests include\u00a0Billy Magnussen\u00a0(The Audacity, Lilo & Stitch<\/em>),\u00a0Alison Brie\u00a0(Glow, Community<\/em>),\u00a0Nathan Fillion\u00a0(The Rookie, Castle<\/em>), Jason Ritter\u00a0(Matlock, Captain Fall<\/em>),\u00a0Eli Roth\u00a0(Ice Cream Man, Borderlands<\/em>) and\u00a0Lamorne Morris\u00a0(New Girl, Fargo<\/em>). \t<\/p>\n

The podcast has always been rooted in conversations about curiosity, anxiety, fandom, creativity, all the ways our brains can spiral when we care deeply about something and how to get out of our own way. When AMC saw an opportunity to expand it into a video series, it felt like the perfect next step,\u201d said Hardwick.<\/p>\n
