Craig, who is coming off producing Netflix\u2019s hit adaptation <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/remarkably-bright-creatures\/\" id=\"auto-tag_remarkably-bright-creatures_1\" data-tag=\"remarkably-bright-creatures\">Remarkably Bright Creatures<\/a><\/em>, will also produce with partner Bryan Unkeless via the duo\u2019s Night Owl Stories. The company has a first-look deal with Netflix.  \t<\/p>\n<p> \tAlso producing the feature are Andrew Mittman (<em>Wednesday<\/em>) for 1.21 along with Barantini and Sam Beddoe via their banner, It\u2019s All Made Up. After a deadly double-cross, the couple is forced to go on the run as spurned thieves, violent thugs and the police all give chase across an overheated state.<\/p>\n<p> \tWalter Hill, who would later go on to direct action classics <em>The Warriors <\/em>and<em> 48 Hrs<\/em>., wrote the original script, adapting the 1958 novel by Jim Thompson, and directed by Sam Peckinpah, the macho filmmaker behind <em>The Wild Bunch<\/em>. The movie was remade in 1994 in a version, starring Alec Baldwin and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/kim-basinger\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kim-basinger_1\" data-tag=\"kim-basinger\">Kim Basinger<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> \tKai Dolbashian of 1.21 will exec produce as will Rey Reyes.  \t<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Andrew-Mittman-and-Peter-Craig-Split-Getty-EMBED-2026.jpg?w=1000\" alt srcset data-lazy-sizes height=\"563\" width=\"1000\" decoding=\"async\"> \t\t\t \t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div><figcaption> \t \t\t\t\t\t<span>Andrew Mittman and Peter Craig.<\/span> \t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<cite>Karwai Tang\/WireImage; John Nacion<\/cite> \t\t\t\t\t \t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p> \tBarantini began his entertainment career as an actor in series such as <em>Band of Brothers<\/em>. After transitioning to directing with his feature debut <em>Villain<\/em> in 2020, he made his breakthrough with the drama <em>Boiling Point<\/em>, which earned multiple BAFTA nominations and introduced the stylistic format of shooting it in one long take. That format reached its apotheosis with <em>\u601d\u6625\u671f<\/em>, the drama he created with Stephen Graham that has gone on to become not only a viewer sensation but one of the most exalted pieces of television of the last decade.<\/p>\n<p> \tBarantini, who is repped by CAA, Untitled, Independent and Johnson Shapiro, will next direct <em>Enola Holmes 3 <\/em>for Netflix.<\/p>\n<p> \tCraig is repped by CAA and Untitled.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Netflix is going on a getaway.
