\tBob Iger<\/a> is beginning a fresh phase after recently handing the \u30c7\u30a3\u30ba\u30cb\u30fc<\/a> keys over to new CEO Josh D\u2019Amaro<\/a>, and this era includes some new awards. <\/p>\n

\tThe Perelman Performing Arts Center (known as PAC NYC), which was the final piece in the rebuilding of the World Trade Center after 9\/11, is presenting Iger with the PAC NYC Icon of Culture Award at its fall gala, set for Oct. 27. The evening, which will be presented by BNY, will honor Iger for his influence on culture and impact in the world while also celebrating the artistic excellence of the Perelman Performing Arts Center. \t<\/p>\n

\tMichael R. Bloomberg \u2014 who serves as chair of PAC NYC \u2014 and Diane von Furstenberg<\/a> \u2014 who received the Icon of Culture honor in 2025 \u2014 made the announcement at an event at Diane von Furstenberg Studios in Manhattan\u2019s Meatpacking District on Tuesday night; Robin Roberts and PAC NYC artistic director Bill Rauch, who is also co-director of the Tony-nominated Cats: The Jellicle Ball<\/em>, were also among those in attendance.<\/p>\n

\t\u201cBob Iger is one of the most ambitious and effective executives in the world, with 40 years of leadership in media and entertainment,\u201d Bloomberg said. \u201cAs CEO of Disney, he led one of the world\u2019s most influential companies to new heights \u2014 including an unparalleled run of global box office hits. He\u2019s been deeply committed to Lower Manhattan as a board member and supporter at the 9\/11 Memorial and Museum, and as an early champion of the PAC. We\u2019re also lucky to have him on the board at Bloomberg Philanthropies.\u201d \t<\/p>\n

\tVon Furstenberg added, \u201cIt is an honor to pass the baton of this prestigious recognition to my friend Bob Iger. Bob has been a super star all of his life\u2026 a visionary, an extraordinary leader as well as a wonderful husband, a loving father and compassionate citizen! No one deserves it more than him!\u201d<\/p>\n

\tPAC NYC\u2019s gala will highlight Iger\u2019s story, which started in New York \u2014 and famously as a local weatherman in Ithaca \u2014 before rising to the top of Disney. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the artistic, civic and education programs of PAC NYC.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
