In his feature debut, writer-director Abinash Bikram Shah explores the Kinnar community, a legally recognized part of Nepal\u2019s meti \u201cthird gender\u201d, and the nature of trans acceptance in South Asia. Bubbles Project, Zischlermann Filmproduktion, Storm Films, and Jayantii Creations produced. Best Friend Forever is handling world sales.  \t<\/p>\n<p> \tA special jury prize went to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/iron-boy-review-1236604370\/\">Louis Clichy\u2019s <em>Iron Boy<\/em><\/a>, a hand-painted animated feature, about an 11-year-old boy in rural France. Sony Pictures Classics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/spc-buys-animated-feature-iron-boy-cannes-1236603304\/\">picked up all rights <\/a>in North and Latin America, as well as for India and Southeast Asian TV, to the feature out of Cannes. <em>Iron Boy<\/em> marks Clichy\u2019s first film as a solo director, after many years working as an animator for Pixar on such features as <em>WALL-E<\/em> and <em>Up<\/em>. Playtime is selling worldwide. <\/p>\n<p> \tThe Un Certain Regard best actor award went to Bradley Fiomona Dembeasset for his turn in Rafiki Fariala\u2019s <em>Congo Boy<\/em>, playing a teen talent in the Central African Republic who dreams of a career in music as a civil war tears his country apart. A joint best actress award went to Marina de Tavira, Daniela Mar\u00edn Navarro, and Mariangel Villegas, the three leads of Valentina Maurel\u2019s <em>Siempre Soy Tu Animal Materno<\/em>, a family drama set in Costa Rica.<\/p>\n<p> \tThe breakout hit of Un Certain Regard, and the Cannes festival this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/club-kid-review-jordan-firstman-1236593117\/\">Jordan Firstman\u2019s <em>Club Kid<\/em><\/a>, went home empty handed.
