Donnie Wahlberg\u2019s a divorced man, which might be a shocking thing for some to learn about Jenny McCarthy\u2019s beloved. <\/p>\n

The boy band heartthrob-turned-Blue Bloods<\/em><\/a> star has always been careful about keeping certain aspects of his private life away from the public eye.<\/p>\n

As a result, even diehard fans might not be clear about the details of Donnie\u2019s family situation.<\/p>\n

These days, Donnie is married to Jenny McCarthy<\/a>, and by all accounts, the relationship is a healthy and stable one.<\/p>\n

But the road to \u201chappily ever after\u201d was not without its twists and turns.<\/p>\n

In fact, both Jenny and Donnie have been divorced.<\/p>\n

As People<\/a><\/em> reports, Donnie married Kim Fey in 1999, and the couple welcomed two children together.<\/p>\n

However, in 2008, they decided to go their separate ways, citing \u201cirreconcilable differences.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following a messy legal battle in which Kim requested sole custody of the kids, the divorce was finalized in 2010.<\/p>\n

Court files were sealed, so we still don\u2019t know how the judge ruled.<\/p>\n

The exact cause of the split remains unclear. But at the time, many observers speculated that Donnie\u2019s friendship with Canadian model Michelle Tomlinson was a factor.<\/p>\n

Donnie and Jenny\u2019s Second Act<\/h2>\n

Whatever the case, it wasn\u2019t long before Donnie fell for his second wife.<\/p>\n

It happened in 2012 when Donnie and Jenny both appeared on Andy Cohen<\/a>\u2018s Bravo talk show, Watch What Happens Live<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Donnie recalled their first meeting while participating in Instagram\u2019s \u201cfirst photo challenge\u201d in 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was our first meeting at @bravoandy @bravowwhl \u2014 where Andy implored me to ask Jenny out,\u201d he captioned a throwback pic<\/a> of the future couple.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t \u2026 however, we\u2019d meet again a year later at her talk show @vh1 @jennymccarthy. And the rest, as they say, is history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenny later told the tale of Donnie\u2019s fateful appearance on her talk show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went a year without dating anybody,\u201d she told New York\u2019s 95.5 PLJ radio (via E! Online<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I don\u2019t know if I was really randy or really ready. But he was there, and I gave him my phone number. I\u2019ve never given a guy my number, but I was interested.\u201d<\/p>\n

These days, when they\u2019re not on either coast for work, Donnie and Jenny reside in her native Illinois with their happy blended family.<\/p>\n

Now that Blue Bloods<\/em> has come to an end<\/a>, Donnie is set to star in a Boston-based spinoff.<\/p>\n
