\tJason Momoa<\/a> is no longer attached to star in filmmaker Justin Lin<\/a>\u2018s movie adaptation of the Helldivers<\/a><\/em> video game property, \u30cf\u30ea\u30a6\u30c3\u30c9\u30fb\u30ea\u30dd\u30fc\u30bf\u30fc<\/em> has confirmed.<\/p>\n

\tLin\u2019s feature version is still moving forward at Sony<\/a> Pictures, with Gary Dauberman (It<\/em>, Until Dawn<\/em>) having penned the script. Helldivers<\/em> is set for theatrical release on Nov. 10, 2027. <\/p>\n

\tHailing from PlayStation Productions, the Helldivers<\/em> movie adapts the 2015 game and its sequel that have collectively sold more than 12 million units. The gaming property centers on Helldivers, a squad of elite soldiers who must protect Super Earth from an alien attack. \t<\/p>\n

\tThe studio teased the film during its CinemaCon presentation earlier this year after first announcing the project at last year\u2019s CES. Arrowhead Game Studios is behind the shooting game that was first released in March 2015.<\/p>\n

\tTHR <\/em>reported in February that Momoa was set to star in the film<\/a>. Lin, Hutch Parker and Asad Qizilbash serve as producers on the movie. <\/p>\n

\tMomoa has a number of features set to hit the big screen this year, including his turn as DC Comics mainstay Lobo opposite Milly Alcock in Warner Bros.\u2019 Supergirl<\/em>, set for theatrical release June 26. The actor, who recently led this year\u2019s action-comedy film The Wrecking Crew<\/em>, can be seen later this year in Street Fighter <\/em>and Dune: Part Three<\/em>. His features scheduled for release in 2027 include A Minecraft Movie Squared<\/em> and Animal Friends<\/a><\/em> alongside Ryan Reynolds. <\/p>\n

\tKnown for helming multiple titles in the Fast & Furious<\/em> franchise, Lin most recently directed 2025\u2019s Last Days<\/em>. \t<\/p>\n
