\tGracie Abrams<\/a> is opening up about how her relationship with Paul Mescal<\/a> has impacted her songwriting process.<\/p>\n

\tThe Grammy nominee graced the cover of Vogue<\/a><\/em> on Tuesday, where she discussed her upcoming album Daughter from Hell<\/a><\/em>. Some of Abrams\u2019 biggest hits, like \u201cThat\u2019s So True\u201d and \u201cI Love You, I\u2019m Sorry,\u201d are regarded for her gloomy lyrics, specifically relating to relationships. <\/p>\n

\tIn the profile, Vogue<\/em> outlined that \u201cin her relationship with Mescal, [Abrams] was talking more openly, communicating in a healthy way,\u201d additionally telling the outlet that she was unclear how being in a \u201csecure and stable\u201d relationship would impact her music<\/a>. \t<\/p>\n

\t\u201cI was worried feeling secure and stable was threatening my drive to write music,\u201d she said. \u201cIt freaked me out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tHer key collaborator and producer Aaron Dessner taught her \u201cit\u2019s OK to mine deeper and refine what you are naturally inclined to do, even if that looks less shiny and new on the outside.\u201d Elsewhere, Abrams reflected on spending time with Mescal in London while he was shooting Hamnet<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\t\u201cIt feels like every day you come home and read the greatest book ever \u2014 that\u2019s what it\u2019s like to be in conversation with someone making something like that,\u201d Abrams said, adding that it was \u201cmagical\u201d for Mescal to be working alongside Chlo\u00e9 Zhao and Jessie Buckley. \u201cThe person you love gets to be surrounded by witches,\u201d she said highly of the two women. <\/p>\n

\tThe couple has been dating for almost two years, after first being spotted<\/a> together in London in June 2024. As of late, Abrams and Mescal recently attended<\/a> a special screening for Paul McCartney\u2019s new documentary project, as Mescal will be portraying the Beatles musician in Sam Mendes\u2019 forthcoming\u00a0The Beatles \u2014 A Four-Film Cinematic Event<\/a><\/em>, which is in production in the U.K.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
