\tIt seems Bridgit Mendler<\/a> didn\u2019t make her grand return to music<\/a>, despite six new songs appearing on her Spotify and Apple Music pages.<\/p>\n

\tOn Friday, a new EP, titled Once Again..<\/em>., popped up on the former Disney star\u2019s profiles on the music streamers with the label \u201cnew release.\u201d The EP featured six new tracks, including \u201cFlowers,\u201d \u201cCold,\u201d \u201cMercy,\u201d \u201cLong Run,\u201d \u201cLoyalties\u201d and \u201cOxygen.\u201d <\/p>\n

\tHowever, Mendler, who left Hollywood nearly a decade ago to focus on her academics and pursue a career in the tech space<\/a>, posted on X Wednesday evening that she wasn\u2019t behind the music release. \t<\/p>\n

\t\u201cSorry to disappoint everyone, the spotify release wasn\u2019t me!\u201d she wrote before adding, \u201cWhen it is, trust me, you\u2019ll know.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tThe Hollywood Reporter<\/em> has reached out to Spotify and Apple Music for comment, as the music was still accessible Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

\tThe last time Mendler released an album was in 2012 with Hello My Name Is\u2026<\/em>, which included the fan-favorite songs \u201cReady or Not\u201d and \u201cHurricane.\u201d She also dropped a few singles after, including her most recent, \u201cDriving,\u201d in 2017. <\/p>\n

\tMendler initially rose to fame for her roles on the Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Wizards of Waverly Place<\/em>. She also starred alongside Naomi Scott, Hayley Kiyoko and Adam Hicks in the 2011 Disney movie Lemonade Mouth<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\tAfter Good Luck Charlie<\/em> wrapped in 2014, she appeared in a few other projects throughout the years, including the shows Undateable<\/em> and Merry Happy Whatever<\/em>, as well as the TV movie Thin Ice<\/em>. But she eventually stepped away from the entertainment industry to focus on her academics. \t<\/p>\n

\tMendler holds multiple professional degrees, including her undergraduate from the\u00a0University of Southern California, her Master\u2019s from the\u00a0Massachusetts Institute of Technology and\u00a0her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. She started working on her PhD at MIT in 2020, but put that on hold.<\/p>\n

\tShe later co-founded Northwood Space in 2023 with her husband, Griffin Cleverly, and engineer Shaurya Luthra, and currently serves as CEO. The company is a California-based aerospace startup that builds infrastructure for satellite communication.<\/p>\n
