Chalamet was seen <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NBA\/status\/2066005159222669622\" target=\"_blank\">hugging Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SportsCenter\/status\/2066004167810859480\" target=\"_blank\">proclaiming to ESPN\u2019s<em> SportsCenter<\/em><\/a>, \u201cway rather this than the Oscars,\u201d after the acclaimed actor has failed to win the best actor Academy Award two years in a row.  \t<\/p>\n<p> \tTowns also shared an emotional embrace with fianc\u00e9e Jordyn Woods, who <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/espnW\/status\/2065951593493663787\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">brought her lucky orange purse<\/a> with her to Game 5. Earlier Saturday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/general-news\/jordyn-woods-karl-anthony-towns-nba-finals-knicks-interview-1236621121\/\">Woods told <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> that heading into that night\u2019s game she felt \u201cexcited\u201d and \u201cnervous\u201d but was sending out \u201cpositive vibes and energy\u201d ahead of a potential championship-clinching Game 5.<\/p>\n<p> \tAnd though she and Towns are planning a wedding, she wasn\u2019t sure how they\u2019d celebrate an NBA championship win.<\/p>\n<p> \t\u201cWe\u2019ve literally just been living moment by moment,\u201d she said. \u201cThe highs, you don\u2019t want to get too high; you don\u2019t want to get too low; you just want to stay humble. We\u2019re not thinking too far ahead; we\u2019re just thinking game by game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> \tThe win, which took place in San Antonio, Texas, wasn\u2019t as celebratory as it would have been if the Knicks had won on their home court at Madison Square Garden as the Frost Bank Center arena mostly full of Spurs fans quickly cleared out after the final buzzer.<\/p>\n<p> \tStill at watch parties in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, New Yorkers were cheering at the long-awaited victory.  \t<\/p>\n<p> \tLongtime Knicks superfans Lee, Chalamet, John Turturro and Ben Stiller, who\u2019s been filming the team\u2019s Finals run on his iPhone, made the trip to San Antonio for Game 5, as they did for the first two games of the series. Knicks stars Walt \u201cClyde\u201d Frazier, part of the 1973 championship team, and Patrick Ewing were also on hand for the Knicks victory. Other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/lists\/nba-finals-2026-celebrities-at-knicks-vs-spurs-games\/\">stars spotted courtside<\/a> during the finals include Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Pete Davidson, Adam Sandler, Jay-Z, Jimmy Fallon, Michael J. Fox, Larry David, Jerry Seinfeld, Mariska Hargitay and, in Game 4, Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n<p> \tHargitay, a fervent Knicks fan and close friend of Jalen Brunson, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/general-news\/mariska-hargitay-left-broadway-show-to-attend-knicks-finals-1236619587\/\">sprinted to Madison Square Garden for Game 4<\/a> after two performances of <em>Every Brilliant Thing<\/em> on Broadway. And she couldn\u2019t contain her enthusiasm about that comeback win.<\/p>\n<p> \t\u201cI love my husband, and our wedding night was great and all, but I think it might have been the greatest night of my life,\u201d Hargitay told <em>THR <\/em>in a statement. \u201cThe game was so brutal, down 29 at the half, but I\u2019m telling you, to watch this team fight and claw their way back \u2014\u00a0to see that look in Jalen\u2019s eyes \u2014 there are just endless life lessons in there. And then OG comes flying in, his orange and blue cape fluttering behind him, and then it\u2019s just pandemonium. It\u2018ll get replayed again and again, not just as an epic moment in basketball, but on the highlight reel of the best moments in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/sports\/\" id=\"auto-tag_sports_1\" data-tag=\"sports\">sports<\/a>. And all I could think was \u2018THAT JUST HAPPENED!!!\u2019 And \u2018OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!\u2019 And \u2018OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS CITY!!!&#8217;\u201d  \t<\/p>\n<p> \tThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/nba-finals\/\" id=\"auto-tag_nba-finals_1\" data-tag=\"nba-finals\">NBA Finals<\/a> appearance was the first for the Knicks since 1999, which incidentally was also against the Spurs and saw the Knicks lose to San Antonio in Game 5.<\/p>\n<p> \tThe Knicks, who led the series against the Spurs 3-1 going into Game 5, made the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history in Wednesday\u2019s Game 4, winning 107-106.<\/p>\n<p> \tAhead of Game 5, New Yorkers across the city were decked out in their Knicks finest, sporting jerseys, merch and, in some cases, just orange and blue attire.<\/p>\n<p> \tEven New Jersey\u2019s own Bruce Springsteen got caught up in the Knicks spirit, ending his brief performance at the Tribeca Festival in Lower Manhattan on Saturday with \u201cGo Knicks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> \tRead on to see how Hollywood stars and public figures are reacting to the Knicks\u2019 win.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">KNICKS IN FIVE!
