\tStreaming<\/a> audiences can get ready to swoon over the the Margot Robbie<\/a>-led feature adaptation of Wuthering Heights<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n

\tHBO Max<\/a> announced Friday that filmmaker Emerald Fennell<\/a>\u2018s romantic drama hits the streaming service on May 1. Jacob Elordi<\/a> co-stars in the movie that makes its linear debut via HBO on May 2, the same day that a version with American Sign Language will also stream exclusively on HBO Max. <\/p>\n

\tBased on author Emily Bront\u00eb\u2019s classic novel of the same name, Warner Bros.<\/a> released the film theatrically on Feb. 13, and it surpassed $240 million at the global box office. Hong Chau<\/a>, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell round out the cast. \t<\/p>\n

\tFennell helmed the movie from her own script that is based on Bront\u00eb\u2019s book. Fennell, Robbie and Josey McNamara produced the project that hails from LuckyChap and MRC.<\/p>\n

\tRobbie plays Catherine Earnshaw, while Elordi portrays Heathcliff. First published in 1847, the book centers on the pair\u2019s tempestuous relationship that encompasses passion and revenge after they meet while living at the eponymous residence.<\/p>\n

\tIn his review of Wuthering Heights<\/em><\/a> for The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>, chief film critic David Rooney called it \u201carguably the writer-director\u2019s most purely entertaining film \u2014 pulpy, provocative, drenched in blazing color and opulent design, laced with anachronistic flourishes, sexy, pervy, irreverent and resonantly tragic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tHe added, \u201cOften teetering on the verge between silly and clever, it\u2019s Wuthering Heights<\/em> for the Bridgerton<\/em> generation, guaranteed to moisten tear ducts and inflame young hearts.\u201d \t<\/p>\n

\tRobbie\u2019s recent credits also include starring opposite Colin Farrell in Sony\u2019s 2025 release A Big Bold Beautiful Journey<\/em>. Elordi currently stars in the third season of HBO\u2019s hit series Euphoria<\/em> and can be seen on the big screen later this year with Ridley Scott\u2019s The Dog Stars. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
