\tAfter being announced as part of the cast<\/a> for the upcoming fourth season of The White Lotus<\/a><\/em>, Helena Bonham Carter<\/a> has departed the project, The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> has confirmed. <\/p>\n

\t\u201cWith filming just underway on season four of The White Lotus<\/em>, it had become apparent that the character which Mike\u00a0White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set,\u201d an HBO<\/a> spokesperson said in a statement shared with THR<\/em>. \u201cThe role has subsequently been rethought, is being rewritten and will be recast in the coming weeks. HBO, the producers and Mike White<\/a> are saddened that they won\u2019t get to work with her, but remain ardent fans and very much hope to work with the legendary actress on another project soon.\u201d \t<\/p>\n

\tProduction on season four of the Mike White-created series recently kicked off in France and will notably be set during the\u00a0Cannes Film Festival<\/a>. The two-time Oscar nominee was an early announced addition to the show\u2019s cast, joining the show\u2019s slate with an extensive r\u00e9sum\u00e9 of prior projects.<\/p>\n

\tCarter\u2019s Academy Award nods hail from her performances in\u00a0The King\u2019s Speech<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0The Wings of the Dove<\/em>. Her additional film credits include\u00a0Fight Club<\/em>\u00a0(1999), the\u00a0Harry Potter<\/em>\u00a0franchise,\u00a0Novocaine<\/em>\u00a0(2001),\u00a0Planet of the Apes<\/em>\u00a0(2001),\u00a0Charlie and the Chocolate Factory<\/em>\u00a0(2005),\u00a0Corpse Bride<\/em>\u00a0(2005) and\u00a0Enola Holmes<\/em>\u00a0(2020). She also appeared in Netflix\u2019s\u00a0The Crown<\/em>\u00a0as Princess Margaret.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tThe White Lotus<\/em> season four cast is still quite robust, with a slew of names already being announced, including Alexander Ludwig, AJ Michalka, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Marissa Long, Chris Messina, Sandra Bernhard, Ari Graynor, Dylan Ennis, Vincent Cassel, Corentin Fila, Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Chloe Bennet, Max Greenfield, Charlie Hall, Kumail Nanjiani, Jarrad Paul, Heather Graham, Frida Gustavsson, Rosie Perez, Tobias\u00a0Santelmann, Ben Schnetzer and Laura\u00a0Smet.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
