\tHouse of the Dragon<\/a><\/em> ignited CCXP Mexico<\/a> with a new look at season three<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\tCastmembers Matt Smith<\/a>, Olivia Cooke<\/a> and Fabien Frankel excited fans at the annual event in Mexico City on Saturday with a panel teasing the HBO<\/a> series\u2019 forthcoming season that kicks off in June. The Game of Thrones<\/a><\/em> prequel series also stars Emma D\u2019Arcy, Rhys Ifans and Steve Toussaint. <\/p>\n

\tCo-creator and showrunner Ryan Condal appeared in a video segment to introduce the latest trailer<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m very sad to not be joining you all there, but I\u2019m back here in the U.K., putting the finishing touches on post-production in season three,\u201d Condal said in the footage. \u201cThis is a huge season. It\u2019s the biggest we\u2019ve made by any margin and by a wide measure. It is dark. It\u2019s funny. It\u2019s action-packed. It\u2019s emotional. And, of course, it has lots and lots of dragons. This season demanded the very best of everybody that collaborated to make it together, and I can\u2019t wait for the world to experience it.\u201d \t<\/p>\n

\tThe new trailer will be released online Monday and included Corlys Velaryon (Toussaint) declaring, \u201cAll that remains is for you to decide what you want from this war.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tLater in the footage, Ser Criston Cole (Frankel) warns, \u201cDoom and ruin surround us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tDuring the panel, Cooke addressed Alicent Hightower\u2019s fraught relationship with Rhaenyra Targaryen (D\u2019Arcy). \u201cTo hate someone, there has to be a passion that you have to set fire to,\u201d Cooke noted. \u201cAnd I think there was a great love there once upon a time. I don\u2019t know where she sort of stands in Alicent\u2019s heart anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tSmith teased that the new season will include \u201ca lot of battles.\u201d He added, \u201cThis season, we\u2019re trying to make it bigger, bolder, bloodier, more brutal, more dangerous \u2014 just get back to the nuts and bolts of what we are as a show.\u201d The actor also promised that the season will include plenty of dragons, particularly Caraxes. \t<\/p>\n

\tIn addressing what\u2019s in store for his own character, Frankel shared, \u201cNow, he\u2019s just driven to survive, so let\u2019s see how that all plays out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tSmith went on to praise Daemon Targaryen for playing by his own rules. \u201cWhat I admire about Daemon is, he just doesn\u2019t give a fuck: \u2018I\u2019ll do what I want, how I want, when I want,’\u201d Smith said. \u201cThere\u2019s something amazing about that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
