\tEuropean Film Promotion<\/a> (EFP) and its member\u00a0organizations\u00a0on Wednesday unveiled\u00a0the 20 producers selected for the 27th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of Producers on the Move<\/a>, taking place during the\u00a0Cannes Film Festival<\/a>.

The group of producers, set to\u00a0take part in the EFP networking\u00a0program\u00a0at the festival, features two people attached to Cannes Official Selection titles. They are Austria\u2019s Lixi\u00a0Frank<\/a>\u00a0of Panama Film, the producer of Sandra Wollner\u2019s\u00a0Everytime<\/em>, which will be screening in the Un Certain Regard section, and\u00a0co-producer of\u00a0Valeska\u00a0Grisebach\u2019s\u00a0competition entry\u00a0The Dreamed Adventure<\/em>; and Italy\u2019s\u00a0Stefano Centini<\/a>\u00a0of Volos Films Italia, who is on the team behind\u00a0Jorge Thielen Armand\u2019s Directors\u2019 Fortnight<\/a> film\u00a0Death Has No Master<\/em>.\u00a0 \t<\/p>\n

\tThe other Producers on the Move 2026 are Roxanne Sarkozi (Belgium), Constantinos Nikiforou (Cyprus), Dagmar Sedl\u00e1\u010dkov\u00e1 (Czech Republic), Maria M\u00f8ller Kjeldgaard (Denmark), Marianne Ostrat (Estonia), Daniel Kuitunen (Finland), Julie Billy (France), Philipp Trauer (Germany), Danae Spathara (Greece), Sunna Gu\u00f0nad\u00f3ttir (Iceland), Julianne Forde (Ireland), Marion Guth (Luxembourg), Olivia Sophie van Leeuwen (The Netherlands), Ivana Shekutkoska (North Macedonia), Agata Novinski (Slovak Republic), Xavi Font(Spain), Linda Mutawi (Sweden) and Michela Pini (Switzerland). <\/p>\n

\tThe\u00a020 producers \u201creflect the breadth and vitality of contemporary European filmmaking,\u00a0spanning different\u00a0genres,\u00a0from drama and comedy to thriller, fantasy, documentary, animation, and coming-of-age,\u201d EFP said. \u201cThe selection underscores a strong focus on female-driven storytelling and a close collaboration with women directors.\u201d \t<\/p>\n

\tSeveral participants are \u201clinked to internationally recognised productions, including recent submissions to the Academy Awards\u2019 international<\/a> feature film category,\u201d EFP also highlighted. \u201cMarianne Ostrat (Alexandra Film) from Estonia was behind the acclaimed Smoke Sauna Sisterhood<\/em> (2023), which won the directing award at the World Cinema Documentary competition at Sundance. Icelandic producer Sunna Gu\u00f0nad\u00f3ttir (Bjarts\u00fdn Films) is associated with Beautiful Beings<\/em> (2022), Iceland\u2019s Oscar submission. The Producers on the Move party also includes Xavi Font (ZuZ\u00fa Cinema), Spanish producer of Cannes jury prize winner, Sir\u00e2t<\/em> (2025), which was nominated twice for the last year\u2019s Academy Awards, as well as Swedish producer Linda Mutawi (Fikra), whose credits comprise Sweden\u2019s Oscar entry Eagles of the Republic<\/a><\/em> (2025), which premiered last year in the Cannes Film Festival competition.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
